Description
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance with emphasis on electric/classical guitar. I like to improvise with heavy influence from transcribing jazz solos. I teach around 25-30 guitar students every week. I play within and compose beauteous (such is my intent anyway) music for a large symphonic ensemble. The sound of an orchestra playing lush polychords with multiple, flowering, expansive, yet subtle melodies deeply resonates with me. Moreover, everyone who is listening to and welcoming any music in their being is just as much a part of the music as the actual composition; this truth applies to all things.
Other Modes of Being: Whether latent or manifest, myriad different modes of liberation exist for everyone! Here are some more of mine: Practicing meditation, for the balancing of the mind and energy development. Studying neuroscience, especially the incredibly complex and intricate heart-brain relationship (see heartmath.org). Gazing at the intricate and vivid brushstrokes in oil paintings in art museums. Studying celestial phenomena - I am truly in awe of the colorfully dense visual beauty that emanates from incredibly massive and vehemently hot aggregations of dust and gas in space. Humbly appreciating the purifying effects of undergoing sweat lodges. Writing poetry, but as alms to the Beloved.
