Deuteronomy 8:18 sates, "But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day."
How do we remember the Lord? We remember His word. His word is the only way that he can prosper us. Isaiah 55: 11 states, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 48:17 "Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit."
Isaiah 51:1-3 "Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him. For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody."
Galatians 3:29, "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise."
Genesis 22:15-18," And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice."
The above scriptures reveal God's plan to return the earth and man to the state that he created them in the Garden of Eden. It is all about a covenant that He made with Abraham and asked him to sacrifice his only son so God could offer His only son Jesus Christ through whom the whole earth would be blessed.
Once God saw that Abraham was willing to sacrifice his only son He stopped him and provided a ram in place of his son as the sacrifice. This is why Jesus is called the Lamb of God. (Read Genesis Chapter 22)
It has all been done now. All man must do is receive God riches. How do we receive them. We receive His Son. Ephesians 3:8 states, " Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ..." When we hear the riches of Christ preached, it causes faith to come. We receive the riches of Christ through faith and faith works by love.
When we receive His Son we receive all that God has and all that God is, which is love. The scripture says that love never fails. (I Corinthians 13:8). Love will make you rich. When you walk in God's love riches will overtake you at some point in your life as you receive them. Romans 5:5 states, "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
When you understand that God has put His love in your heart through His Son you can walk in it. God's gift to you is to make you rich with his riches. When God teaches you how to walk in His love he is teaching you to profit. It will come to pass in your life as you obey His teachings. Love will grow like a seed that is planted, first the blade, then the ear, and then the full corn in the ear.
III John 2 states, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. As you continue to prosper your soul with the word of God, eventually you will be over flowed with God's riches in every area of your life including your bank accounts because you are walking in His love in every area of your life. God has done His part the rest is up to you.
If you have not yet taken advantage of God's plan to prosper you forever, you can do it now by making Jesus the Lord of your life. Simply believe that God offered his Son as a sacrifice for sin (your sin) and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead for your righteousness. Now, with your mouth confess Jesus as your Lord. When you sincerely do this, God honors your faith and you become a child of God with all of His blessings on your life now and forevermore. (Read Romans Chapter 10 to understand what you just did.) Now reread the following scripture concerning those that follow after righteousness and those that seek the lord.
*It is important that you find a church that is teaching God's righteousness, faith, hope and love and get involved in serving him there.
Fred Fishburne has been serving the Lord since 1980. He was called by God in 1983 to New Life Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduation in 1985, he was lead to help charter a church in which he raised his family and stills serves with his wife Ann today.
Fred and Ann have owned a successful natural health store in McDonough, Ga. since 1994. Helping people with there health is a big part of their ministry. "It gives us a chance to show our customers what the Bibles says about good health," says the couple.
Read Fred's e-books, Salvation Mechanics and Glory Follows, about God's call to His children to enter into the will of Christ and how God always exhalts those that obey. http://gloryfollows.com
