I am an intuitive healer, medium, spiritual counsellor, metaphysician, indigo child, author, scientist, woman, mother, sister, friend and human being. She is of mixed Welsh, Cree, Sioux, French and Dutch heritage. My path is not defined by any one way:I have a unique perspective that is the result of extensive lifelong studies. My philosophy is heavily influenced by Yoga, Cree/Sioux spirituality, Buddhism, Celtic tradition, and my Spirit guides. I have been doing energy work since her childhood. I first recall working on her Grandmother at age 4: “Nana always wanted me to rub her knees. At the time I wondered why someone else couldn’t do it. Now, I know why she chose me to help: none of the others had the same gift as I do. The ability to access and direct Universal Love (Divine Light) to promote self-healing.” As I matured, my gifts became more widely recognized. When requests for assistance became more frequent, Jodi’s mother realized that to succeed on her path Jodi would need support. So, in an effort to assist her daughter, they began to study yoga and meditation together. This effort proved to be quite beneficial; not only did I learn to nurture my self, I gained control and understanding of my gifts. My sensitivities and uniqueness were largely unappreciated in the education system and I found myself in difficult situations quite frequently. As an Elder Indigo (Adult with ADD/ADHD) my style is not consistent with the mainstream and my presence was often found to be disruptive. Fortunately, ADD/ADHD were not common labels, and rather than medicate her, educators were forced to be creative in order to keep me engaged. It wasn't until I became pregnant with her daughter that I became seriously interested in learning more about spirituality and healing. Since then, I have undertaken many avenues of study to amplify my abilities. In 1999, under the guidance of two exceptional teachers I became a Reiki Master Practitioner. Each attunement increased my energy vibrations to a higher level and thus compounded my innate abilities as a healer. Knowing that my journey was still unfolding, I then began an intensive one year energy healing class at the Chelaume Centre for the Healing Arts in Victoria, BC. This class gave me more tools and techniques with which I am able to bring the magic of Universal Love to the people. Additional work with a number of Native elders, has allowed mei to become well versed in traditional medicine wheel teachings, healing methods, and ceremonial protocols. It is with the blessings of all her teachers that I share my skills and knowledge. An avid academic, I hold a BA in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria; an ASc in Biology from Camosun College, and a Field Naturalist Certificate from the Marine Mammal Institute. I recently completed a second Bachelor Degree in Metaphysics, recieved Metaphysical Practioner Certification, and Metaphysical Ministry Ordination through the International Metaphysical Ministry. I am currently writing my Master's thesis at the University of Sedona. This research paper focuses on the benefits of Metaphysics for those diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. In addition to my studies, I work full-time, am creating numerous works of non-fiction, write poetry, am developing a Metaphysical Workbook for children and their caregivers, pen articles for community newsletters, and am raising two wonderful children.
