In the Magic blog I gave you many characteristics of the initiation of a Practitioner; to day I come to you with an useful ritual to start you journey. Let me make clear that this is of no use if you do not satisfied history and literal knowledge. If you are ready for that encounter with yourself and no ¨historian¨or practitioner is there to help you this is what you are going to do:
This is call the ¨magic¨mirror...

1.Take 2 mirrors and softly paint one with white ink and the other with black ink.
2. In the white one write all your ¨good¨characteristics, strength, and talents. Try to be as cocky as you can.
3. In the black on write all your weakness, bad habits, and ¨bad¨characteristics. Try not to be so hard on yourself.

- The purpose is to give the prospect an extensive vision of his/her personality. Many magic schools enforce that the prospect work with this mirror and try to become stronger with the white mirror. This is OK but the act of self knowledge and acceptance will make you a strong-humble practitioner and person.

4. I recommend to also use a Mantra with this exercise: ¨That is me, that is who I am. It might not be the most beautiful sight but it is who I am. I shall learn how to live with myself; I am a self reality, everything else is relative and transitional, but I am ETERNAL.

The experiences may vary but it will be your experience. I will also like you read some of Aleiser Croeley´s story. His mirror experience was terrifying and you might learn some from him. If you are interested in the dark arts Crowley is you man, If not, may Crowley be just part of the history that you have to learn.
