Chi Kung (or Qigong) is an internal Chinese meditative practice which often uses slow graceful movements and controlled breathing techniques to promote the circulation of Qi (life force) within the human body, and enhance a practitioner's overall health. Chi Kung has been used in China for over 5000 years, mainly amongst Martial Art practitioners.
Today, many scientific studies confirmed that practicing Chi Kung on a daily basis can improve one's blood flow, oxygen intake at the cellular level and overall well being. It is also written in ancient texts that Chi Kung can help the practitioner attain a higher level of consciousness.
